Celebrating May flowers & Moms

Apricot Parrot Tulips ready in late May

The spring season has been filled with lots of activity: starting seeds, dividing perennials, planting, and well, more planting! All the planning and hard work during the winter takes its toll until the flowers start. May is exploding with flowers - tulips and daffodils are taking center stage.

Activity here has gone from 0-60 in what feels like days. The bounty of the season is here and tulips wait for no one. They must be checked at least twice a day to ensure they are harvested at the first sign of color. Doubles and peony-flowering tulips must be harvest just when the petals start to peel back. Then in the cooler they go - waiting for their time to be a part of one of our Mother's Day bouquets or Lander Art Center class.

If you are looking for a meaningful gift for a mom, sister, daughter, or yourself, we have compiled a list of wonderful ideas that involve local flowers.

Bouquet CSA

This year we are teaming up with Kerry Noonan of Sweet Blossoms Farm to expand our bouquet subscription service. CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture" and our bouquet CSA represents an investment both our local flower farms.
